Bringing Learning to Life: Brookes Students Explore the World Beyond the Classroom

At Brookes, we believe in learning beyond the classroom, and our students regularly embark on educational trips that bring their studies to life. This term, students have had the opportunity to visit places such as the Food Museum, the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, the Sewage Works, and Sizewell B Power Station. With a visit to Mountfitchet Castle still to look forward to. These trips are a core part of the IB curriculum, which emphasises real-world learning, exploration, and critical thinking. Whether it’s exploring cultural heritage, delving into history, or studying environmental sustainability, these excursions help students connect classroom knowledge with global perspectives, enhancing their understanding of the world around them. Through these immersive experiences, Brookes students not only deepen their academic learning but also develop valuable skills that prepare them to become compassionate, informed, and engaged global citizens.
