Fieldwork for Year 7
At Brookes we are blessed to be located in the heart of Breckland.
Year 7 made the most of this opportunity by visiting two local places to complete fieldwork to support the work we have done in class this term.
Our first location was Castle Hill in Thetford. This is an excellent example of an early motte and bailey castle. This is in line with the work we have done on the on the Norman conquest and the impact the Normans had on England.
After lunch, we visited Santon Downham to carry out some geography skills, we were looking at succession with in the forestry.
The weather was glorious, excellent conditions for fieldwork.
