Special ceremony marks armistice day
This week the school hosted a unique outdoor service to remember those who gave their lives so we can live ours freely (something we often take for granted, but are reminded of during lockdown).
Children in our lower school performed a medley of songs from World War I while our senior school students read poems of remembrance. The service ended with the last post and two minutes’ silence. It was a poignant reminder of the importance of peace, unity and togetherness.
Thank you to Mrs Gawthrop and our staff team for organising the event and well done to our students for some thought-provoking performances.
